Introduction to WordPress updates

WordPress is constantly evolving and improving. As a result, it is important to keep your software up-to-date with the latest security patches and modifications.

Checking for updates

If you’re not using a plugin or custom build of WordPress, you may not be getting the updates that your site needs. In this article, we’ll show you how to check for WordPress updates, how to install them, and how to keep your site secure.

1. Checking for Updates:

When it comes to updating your WordPress site, there are a few different ways that you can go about it. You can check for updates manually using the “Updates” menu in the admin area, or you can use a plugin to do it for you. If you choose to do it manually, the first step is to go to your WordPress installation directory (usually located at “wp-content/”) and then look for a file called “wordpress-core-4.7.1.zip”. One of the most important things that you should do after installing an update is to clear your cache and logs so that everything works as it should again. Additionally, be sure to review the changelog document that was included with the update to see if there are any specific changes or adjustments that you need to make to your website.
